Information Services is happy to announce the release of the new PC training schedule for June - December 2007 for faculty, staff, and administration. Training is designed for both beginners and experienced computer users and is conducted on Windows XP based systems. Some sessions have prerequisites. This schedule does not include special interest sessions, which will be announced as they are scheduled. See the attached form Prerequisite for Workshops for a definitive listing of the skills and knowledge base necessary to get the most from a particular session. Before training sessions are announced we try to anticipate the needs and
wishes of our PC users. After the sessions are completed, we evaluate what we
have accomplished, look at what worked, what didn't, and consider why.
We also consider changes in the type of sessions we offer, or how many times
we run them. We
continued to update all our course offerings, including sessions on MS Office
applications, we continued to catch up with new users and give them the
opportunity for formal training. We continue to update previously
presented workshops to reflect changes in the technology, maintain the
modified start times to better accommodate people's (particularly faculty's)
tight schedules, continue running sessions multiple times; the most popular
ones being run most often, continue to listen to our users and provide
timely and relevant training topics, continue to include a Master Schedule
with this announcement suitable for posting. All
training is conducted by Phil Urbano; all
registered users will be notified of the room designation at the time of
training. Please get the registration form in by the registration date!
