Academic Interests: Biology; Earth Science,
and Science in General.
My career began over thirty years ago with four years
in histochemistry at the Forsyth Dental Center in Boston. As a Research
Assistant I assisted Dr. Roy Wuthier in basic research into the role
of lipids in tissue calcification. Desiring to spend more time combining
science and people I entered the teaching profession where I spent thirty-three
years implanting academic seeds of biology, chemistry, and earth science
into the minds of high school students. At present I intend to share
my passion for biology with those at Massasoit Community College.
Professional Associations: National Association
of Biology Teachers; Massachusetts Association of Biology Teachers (past
President, Membership Chair, and Treasurer); Massachusetts Marine Educators; Greater Boston Earth Science Teachers.
