Biology, University of Nebraska at Omaha M.A. Biology, University of Nebraska at Omaha Thesis: Woody Plant Communities of the Iowa Loess Hills: Expansion from 1855 to 2000, Extant Composition, and Ecological Succession Academic Interests I am originally from Iowa and Nebraska, where I studied plant ecology on the Great Plains, specifically succession of prairies to forests and the role fire plays in grassland ecosystems. In addition to ecology, I am also interested in environmental science and evolutionary biology. Other Interests My favorite thing to do in the whole world is to see the world! When I’m at home I also enjoy gardening and spending time with my husband and cats.
