Anatomy and Physiology II
BIOL 202 H1
202H1 M 3:00 – 5:50 PM on selected dates.
9/14, 9/21*, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14* and others as decided by the class.
* These dates were added after the course description was published. If you are not free these nights, alternative arrangements will be made.

This is a somewhat non-conventional hybrid class. I have tried to duplicate the experience of sitting in the classroom as much as possible. The board notes and recordings of the lectures are available to you to direct your studying. The lectures can be converted to podcasts following instructions on the audio site. We will meet 10 times on campus for laboratory activities, tests, and question-and-answer sessions. You are also encouraged to contact me by email with questions or comments throughout the semester. (
Email Linda Kollett) The final exam is self-scheduled.

  • Link to Board Notes. These are the board notes from the regular day classes. I suggest that you read these notes and add to them while listening to the class audio. (Use the A&P II class files for BIOL202-02 or the archived BIOL202 files.) The day A&PII class meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45. Lab is on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:50 in S546.
  • Audio Streaming and Podcasts. Go to Massasoit onDemand on the MCC home page, select Podcast, click on Linda Kollett BIOL20202 Fall 2009 and select the date for the lecture you want to access. The audio dates correspond to the lecture dates on the class notes. To download files to your computer, follow the directions to subscribe to podcasting. You do not need an iPod to listen to the files as a podcast. You can listen to them in iTunes (free download) or burn them to a CD to use in a CD player.
  • Sample Tests. These are available on this site and will give you an idea of what a test looks like, and some practice answering questions. Do not expect the tests you take to be identical to these samples! You can also access these tests under A and P II.
  • Figures from Lab Exam 1 These are the figures for Lab Exam 1 for review - in some cases they are not quite the same as they are from the textbook, not the lab manual. You can also access these under A and P II.
  • Figures from Lab Exam 2 These are the figures for Lab Exam 2 for review - in some cases they are not quite the same as they are from the textbook, not the lab manual. You can also access these under A and P II.
  • Audio Archives - these are lectures from previous semesters which you may use if you encounter problems with the current audio files. Follow the directions for Audio Streaming and select an archived file.
  • Preparing for Exams - designed for Biological Principles but contains helpful hints for everyone. You will have to develop your own vocabulary list.
