Professor Degrees BA in Mathematics and Physics, Boston University MS in Physics, Brown University Academic Interests I am interested in all areas of physics, especially acoustics. I teach most of the physics courses we offer, as well as some courses in mathematics. I also regularly teach "The History and Development of Music" in the Humanities Division. I have developed a course which looks at sound and music from a physicist's point of view, called "The Science of Music." Other Interests Playing piano, listening to all kinds of music, bicycling, walking, reading books and articles in English and in German, and travel, especially in Europe.
