Requirements

 

A three-ring notebook will be required with the following sections:

 

v    Vocabulary Webs – for each vocabulary word listed in the reading assignments, as well as any additional words chosen by the student, the word, its origin, part(s) of speech, definition, alternate forms, and an original sentence using the word correctly will be recorded.

v    Written Daily In-Class Prompts– include the date &  prompt

 

v    Assigned Reading Responses – reaction response to the assigned reading

(Must include: Date; Selection Title & Number;

Chosen Question Written Out)

 

v    Classroom notes – include date

 

 

v    Reading Response Journal (for the chosen novel) – The left side of the page is to contain the date and pages read, along with any facts about the novel acquired through reading these specific pages.  On the right hand side of the page should be the reader’s reaction to what is going on in this portion of the novel.

 

 

All reading assignments must be complete

with a grade of 70 (seventy) or above.
