Workforce/Community Education

The Division Workforce Development and Community Education is committed to provide high quality, professional level seminars, at reasonable prices, to the Community. Programs are designed to meet each health care professional's unique needs. Some of the programs include; a Nursing Speaker's Series where contemporary issues in health care are discussed, evening courses to prepare the instructor in fitness and personal training for certification exams, and on-line courses focusing on Gerontology and Alternative Medicine.  In addition, the Health Care Initiatives area of the Division of Community Education demonstrates a commitment and responsiveness to local, community programming needs.  This is most noted through the introduction of a Certified Pharmacy Technician Program in the fall, 2005.
