Course Title: Dental Science II

Course Description: A continuation of Dental Science I, this course includes dental pharmacology, emphasizing the nature and property of drugs and anesthetics used frequently in dentistry. Also included is an introduction to dental specialties, namely: orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, public health, dental implants, special needs, and prosthodontics. Dental office emergencies, their recognition, and the appropriate dental assistant responses are included.
